ABOUT ME
I am an artist currently based in the vibrant city of New Orleans, a move I made in May 2023 after spending eight formative years in Denver, Colorado. My journey began in rural Montana, where I was born and raised in a small coal town with a population of approximately 2,000. Growing up in such an isolated environment, I always felt a strong urge to escape and explore the world beyond the confines of my hometown.
In 2015, I took the leap and moved to Denver, eager to pursue a career in Graphic Design at the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design. However, I quickly found myself stifled by the constraints of client expectations and the rules that come with traditional art careers. With just six weeks until graduation, I made the bold decision to drop out, realizing that my true calling was to create art for myself, rather than adhering to someone else’s vision. Feeling stagnant in Denver, I was irresistibly drawn to the creative energy of New Orleans, a city known for its rich artistic heritage and cultural vibrancy. Since relocating, I have immersed myself in the local art scene and discovered a wealth of inspiration that has invigorated my work.

My artistic focus has shifted toward painting, where I embrace an illustrative style influenced by street art as well as the ornate aesthetics of the French Baroque and Italian Rococo art movements. My art explores the duality of emotions and energies—contrasting themes of light and dark, love and hate, joy and sorrow. The visual impact of my work is characterized by vibrant colors juxtaposed against deep blacks, creating a dynamic interplay that invites viewers into my emotional landscape. As I continue to evolve as an artist in New Orleans, I remain committed to capturing the complexities of human experience through my unique lens.
